Requirements
Any dog three (3) months of age or older kept, harbored, or maintained within La Paz County for (30) consecutive days or longer is required to be vaccinated for rabies and licensed by La Paz County. The rabies vaccination must be administered by a licensed Veterinarian, and proof of the vaccination is required to purchase a license.
First time License
A rabies vaccination must be valid (not expired) for the duration of the license term. Download and complete the Animal License Application form below. Submit your completed form and vaccination certificate by E-mail to: [email protected]

License Term Length
The dog license is good for the duration of the County license certificate and expires when the rabies certificate expires. Rabies vaccinations are good for either one or three years.
Tags
A metal license tag will be issued for 1 to 3 years beginning with the date of issuance and must be renewed for the life of the dog on or before the expiration of the license.
